Customer: Midwest Cocoa Producer
Installed Cost: $350,000
Soon after start-up, the plant met monthly production goals by mid-month.
The customer is upgrading production lines and automating manual processes.
AIG replaced an old manual super-sack filling process (ingredient weighing had been the only automated step) with an automated super-sack fill system that includes a pallet dispenser, fill system and stretch wrapper. Once each woven-poly bag is filled with 1 metric ton of cocoa powder and tied off, it is palletized and stretch wrapped.
AIG:
- Sourced equipment.
- Managed installation of new bag dump hoppers and stretch-wrap equipment.
- Provided system integration services, including programming and user interface design (HMI), for the pallet dispenser, super-sack filling and stretch wrapping.
Shortly after start-up, the plant was already meeting its monthly production goals by the middle of the month.
